How to Care for Your Doll: The Complete Maintenance Guide

Daily care takes 15 minutes a week

A companion doll is a long-term purchase. Treated well, a platinum silicone doll stays beautiful for many years. This guide condenses everything our workshop recommends into a simple weekly routine.

Cleaning

  • Wash with mild antibacterial soap and lukewarm water only — never boiling water, never alcohol, never silicone-based cleaners.
  • For full-body cleaning, support the doll naturally; do not bend joints against their resistance.
  • Pat dry with a lint-free towel, then let the surface air-dry completely before dressing or storage.

Keeping the skin soft

After drying, dust lightly with renewing powder (corn-starch based). This restores the matte, skin-like feel and prevents tackiness. TPE benefits from powdering after every wash; silicone needs it far less often.

Clothing and storage

  • Dark or strongly dyed fabrics can stain — light colors are safest, especially for TPE.
  • Store lying flat on the included blanket, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep sharp jewelry, watches and rough surfaces away from the skin during handling.

Joints and skeleton

Move limbs slowly and support the torso when repositioning. If your doll has standing feet, use them only on flat, soft surfaces with the knees slightly bent for balance.

When something goes wrong

Small surface marks on silicone can often be smoothed at home; deeper damage is repairable with our repair kits — contact support and include a photo.
