EVO Skeleton Explained: Poseability, Standing Feet & Handling
What the skeleton does
Inside every doll is an articulated frame — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and a flexible spine. It is what lets a doll sit, pose and hold a position. Skeleton quality is the single biggest difference between a cheap doll and a good one.
Standard skeletons and upgraded joints
“EVO skeleton” is the industry name for upgraded joint mechanisms: tighter articulation, smoother motion through the range, positions that hold without drifting, and more natural shoulder and hip movement for photography. Not every workshop offers them, and the quality varies widely.
Every Qianyou doll ships with a fully articulated skeleton as standard, movement-tested before dispatch. If an upgraded skeleton joins our order form, it will appear there with its price — the same rule we apply to every option: what you see on the product page is what you can buy today.
Standing functions
Our configurator offers two real options: standing with bolts (free on TPE bodies — three small reinforced points in each sole) and boltless standing (+$100 on silicone bodies). Without a standing option, always support the doll when upright — ankles are not designed to carry full weight for long.
Handling tips
- Move limbs slowly; never force a joint past its resistance.
- Support the torso when lifting — carry like you would a sleeping person, not a suitcase.
- After intense posing, let the doll rest in a neutral position for a few hours.
