Care & Maintenance

Every doll from our partner workshops is hand-finished, and a few simple habits keep the skin and skeleton in top condition for years. This page covers cleaning, storage, clothing and small repairs.

Cleaning

  • Wash with mild soap and warm (never hot) water after use; avoid alcohol, solvents and silicone-based lubricants.
  • Dry thoroughly but gently - pat with a soft towel and let air-dry completely before storage.
  • Keep water away from the neck and any bolt interfaces; a damp cloth is enough for the head.

Storage

  • Store lying flat or seated in a neutral position - never folded or compressed under other items.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, heaters and humid corners; UV and heat age the material.
  • For longer storage, the original box with its foam inserts is an ideal home.

Clothing and color

Dress your doll in light-colored, loose fabrics. Dark or brightly dyed fabrics can transfer color into the skin, especially on TPE - wash new clothing before use. If staining happens, a gentle stain-removal putty from any doll accessory store usually lifts it.

Powdering and skin feel

A light dusting of renewal powder (cornstarch-based) after cleaning keeps the surface soft and non-tacky. This is especially worthwhile on TPE surfaces.

Small repairs

Small nicks and surface marks can be fixed at home with a standard doll repair kit - clean and dry the area first, and always work with fresh repair material. For longer or gaping tears, or damage near a joint or the neck bolt, stop and contact us with photos first: we will tell you honestly whether it needs workshop attention.
